Kuttram 23 (Tamil): It is engaging from start to finish.Arivazhagan has directed the movie well which is based on a crime novel by Rajeshkumar. This is the first movie of Arun Vijay I have watched and I liked his attitude, mannerism and style. He certainly comes out of his father's shadow and delivers solid performance which the role demands, and stands on his own feet. I like his energy and fierceness. He shines in body language, style and dialogue delivery. Mahima looks pretty without much make up and does justice to the role given to her. Whereas,Thambi Ramaiah's comedy track has become stereotype and there is nothing new in it. Though the movie has its flaws and climax seems to be rushed, but overall it is very engaging and keeps you glued to your seats. Technically the movie is good with very good visuals by cinematographer KM Bhaskaran. If you are looking for a good investigating thriller then this is the right one for you. My rating is 3/5.
