Imprints - Colours of Life - Book Review by N D Acharya

I got this book to read just by chance. I had a flight to Delhi in the morning. I needed something good to read during journey. So, I was going through my collection and got this book.

Opening the book, first title I read was ‘Jalebis’. I got curious to read. I mean, a short story on jalebis is not what you read everyday. Personally, I love reading short stories. Jeffrey Archer is one my favorite writers. The thing here is, I always missed excellent yet simple stories based on Indian background.

You seldom get to read an ‘Indian’ short story. I could resemble some stories with a tv show, ‘malgudi days’. So, I enjoyed reading stories having Indian characters and background. Stories you can relate with. Stories I really liked are Jalebis, The anonymous, At the knife point, When love is for eternity, who will cry when I die etc.

The whole collection is great. Good to know young talents are working hard on this wonderful art of writing. Keep up the good work. I will be waiting for your next collection of short stories.
