One Rainy Day
A Poem
I woke up from sleep one
Rainy day,
When the sun was hidden
Beneath the clouds
Of darkest grey.
The falling rain made
the wonderful
Pitter-patter sound,
I saw some kids hop
And skip in puddles
Of rain water
on the ground.
A little bird was perched
On a telephone wire,
A little boy completely
Drenched ran behind
A rolling tire.
I tried to catch the rain
Drops falling on my
Window sill,
When the cool breeze
Embraced me with
An icy chill.
Come drizzling rain;
Once again,
So that I could forget
At least for that moment
All my pain.
