The Story Man
A Poem
There lived a story man,
Who collected stories
From various people
He usually met
He stored those stories
In his glass jar
And climbed a mountain
When the sun began to set
And the sky was lit with
Moon and blanket
Of twinkling stars,
To meet his lonely friend;
The single tree
He would sit on
A small rock,
Then smile at the tree
While opening the jar
To let go of the stories
Which he had collected
The stories now became
The feelings and memories
Of the lonely tree
Of that wonderful mountain.
