Madhavi's Amazing Tarot Reading

>> Monday, September 23, 2024

I recently had a tarot reading session with my friend Madhavi, and it was an incredible experience. So far I had only seen Tarot readings only in movies. This made the session exciting for me. Madhavi has a natural gift for interpreting the cards, and her insights were both profound and relatable. She created a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it easy to open up about my concerns. Actually, I added an extra question in the last minute, but Madhavi was too good to consider it.

Each card drawn felt relevant, and her interpretations offered clarity on my current situation and future possibilities. I especially appreciated how she encouraged reflection rather than just giving direct answers.

Overall, I left the session feeling enlightened and empowered. I highly recommend Madhavi for anyone interested in exploring tarot reading—her intuition and expertise truly shine through!

Gyaarah Gyaarah (2025)

Gyaarah Gyaarah (2024) Hindi Webseries Review: This one is remake of Korean thriller webseries named 'Signal' that I had binge watched on 'Netflix' sometime back and had loved it. I should say that the remake stays true to the original. The actors chosen are almost perfect and they have done a terrific job. The plot and screenplay keeps one hooked to the screen from start to end of the season one. Season one ends with a twist and I know what will happen in season 2 as I had seen the original series. Raghav Juyal as Yug Arya, Kritika Kamra as Vamika Rawat and Dhairya Karwa as Shaurya Anthwal are the perfect trio in this series. They are perfectly cast like in the original Korean webseries. The screenplay never has a dull moment as the plot runs in two parallel timelines. It is rated 18+ due to drugs use and violence. The cinematography, BGM and crisp editing make it Edge of the seat thriller. Especially for those who haven't seen the original Korean thriller Signal. Even for those who have already seen it, this one doesn't disappoint to say the least. The locations selection are visually amazing. Just ignore the bad reviews and low ratings which this webseries doesn't truly deserve. My rating is 10/10. Highly recommended.
Streaming on Zee5.
Waiting for season 2.

#SaripodhaaSanivaaram (2024) Telugu Movie Revew

>> Saturday, August 31, 2024

#SaripodhaaSanivaaram (2024) Telugu Movie Revew : I got to see a Mass entertainer after quite sometime. It is always a pleasure to see Nani on screen. Then you have SJ Surya, who rocks as the antagonist. If that is not enough then we have superb supporting cast like Sai Kumar, who is brilliant as Nani's father and then Ajay Ghosh as some random gangster. Not to forget Murali Sharma, who plays SJ Surya's brother is a maverick. Each and every character is given importance.Director Vivek Athreya deserves a pat on his back for making it an almost perfect action entertainer. The screenplay is simply superb that just proves length is not an issue when the content is strong and well done. The major plus points are BGM, cinematography, editing and action choreography. Though BGM is pretty loud at most places, it elevates the action scenes to next level.
The writing is another well done section with well written characters, sub plots that are well connected with the main plot. Well, it is difficult to find short comings in a well made movie like this one.
Director Vivek Athreya who was doing out of the box unconventional movies until now enters the commercial zone with a bang. The face off between Nani and SJ Surya takes good vs bad to next level on screen.
My rating is solid 8/10. Highly recommended in theatre near you.
It has English subtitles for non Telugu Movie watchers.

Stree 2

#Stree 2 (2024) Hindi Movie Review: It is entertaining from start to finish. The best thing is that it continues where it had ended in part one. If you haven't seen part one then I would suggest you see it before watching it. Usually, comedy-horror genres aren't done well, as they are lost trying to be both. However, this one is an exception. #AmarKaushik ensures that #Stree2 stays true to its prequel, maintaining engrossing narrative troughout. Also, it is filled with comedy that leaves one in splits. The main cast from the first part #ShraddhaKapoor, #RajkummarRao, #PankajTripathi, #AparshaktiKhurana and #AbhishekBanerjee perform well. While it features wrestler Sunil Kumar as the headless antagonist Sarkata. I felt #AkshyaKumar wasn't really needed for this one. Any other actor could have done. The background score and songs are another plus point. Tamana Bhatia's item song is like cherry on the cake. When it comes to horror there are few jump scares. However, it isn't so well done like in part one. But it is comedy that becomes the USP of this franchise. My rating is 8/10.
What is good : The comedy, ditection and screen play, BGM and songs, performances of the lead characters. The linking of Stree Universe that brings together characters from other movies like Bhediya.
What isn't good: The CGI could've been better. It is poorly done.
Recommendation: Highly recommended. It could be watched with family and friends.

Kalki 2898 A. D. (2024)

>> Sunday, June 30, 2024

Kalki 2898 A. D. (2024) Telugu Movie review : It is a visual treat with well written story that took 5 years to develop and well characterization that has reference to our Indian mythology Mahabharata. I didn't feel that first half was slow or dragging, as it was required as the build up for the second half.  The VFX and cinematography give the audience the required thrill. It makes the visual appearance extraordinary and gives room for belivibility into the dystopia future. The animation done for the past linking the story to Indian mythology is well done as well. The only thing I felt could have been done better after doing it so stunningly visual brilliance, is the guns that look like made from thermocol. Music was another let down. However, need to take a bow to director Nag Ashwin for wonderfully taking the story from paper to big screen. This is our star wars.. Our Dune.. Whatever reference you want to take.. Nag Ashwin has shown how to tap the untapped Indian mythology which only few South Indian directors have done it. And that too from TFI. Also take a bow to Vyjayanthi Movies, though a home production, it is two sisters who believed in Nag Ashwin's extravagant vision and backed it. Coming to performances, Amitabh Bachchan is one God of Indian cinema. Take a bow to him as no one could have done this character on screen and that too at age of 82. He is our Clint Eastwood who is still making movies. His clash with Prabhas is one of the highlights of this movie. Kamal Hassan though has a limited screen presence, but leaves a lasting impact. Deepika looks amazing and was pregnant in real life as well. So, she fitted the character perfect. This is the come back of Prabhas after years of Bhahubali curse. He looks and acts well in this one. Maybe, he went off track so long with other Directors not able to tap his potential which we last saw in Bhahubali. Supporting cast has done well too. Nice to see the legendary Shobana and Brahmanandham. This is a movie for big screen and IMAX and not for your silly mobiles to see pirated version or even common man's boon called OTT. See it on big screen and support maverick director like Nag Ashwin who has taken Indian cinema 10 steps forward and made us all proud. I would like to read Mahabharata now. That is the impact of this amazing movie. My rating is 10/10! Highly recommended. If you want to see it in 3D then try to see in IMAX as I feel that will surely enhance the visual impact.
